Garden Gnomes Monthly Meeting - September 2013 Minutes September 20th

Meeting began at 1:00 pm PDT I. Roll Call Sherlynette Castro Jaime Zlamal Joseph López Joe Ramos Steven Warner                                                    II. On-going projects A. New Garden Hours - Tuesdays from 10-11am and Fridays 12-1pm. B. Status of Garden Gnomes at San Diego State University      1. On August 17, 2013 we received the application confirmation from Student Life&Leadership Division of Student Affairs.      2. We are not listed in the SDSU Recognized Student Organizations website.      3. Sherlynette will contact  the Division of Student Affairs.       C. Status of Officers and Standing Committees 1.  Jaime volunteered to be part of the Officers Committee. 2. We will have new Officers based on attendance, participation and collaborations. D. Garden Gnomes at San Diego State University Logo 1.  Jaime is working on the logo.                                                                             E. Future Projects 1. Composting Workshop by Solana Center (Contact: Erin Tessier, Volunteer Coordinator & Environmental Educator, erin@solanacenter.org, (760)436-7986 ext. 223)              a. Jaime and Sherlynette will contact Erin requesting workshop and compost bin or monetary donations. 2. Educational Documentaries (Screen on the Green – Contact Division of Student Affairs / Student Life & Leadership sll@mail.sdsu.edu or (619) 594-5221)               a. Steven will contact the Division of Student Affairs and find out if is possible showing a documentary organized by the Garden Gnomes. F. Pending Projects 1. Finding a new faculty advisor. 2.
